Description
Heavy hex nuts are larger than standard hex nuts. This means that the heavy hex nuts are wider across the flat and taller. In general, heavy hex nuts are about 1/8 inch wider across flats than standard hex nuts. When installing, it is recommended to use a 1/8 inch larger socket or wrench. Common grades of heavy hex nuts used in petrochemical, pressure vessel, ship, pump and valve fields are: ASTM A563 (grade A, C and DH), ASTM A194 grade 2H. Since hot-dip galvanizing typically adds thickness to the threaded portion of the fastener, hot-dip galvanized heavy hex nuts will need to be re-tapped to match the assembly heavy hex bolts or stud bolts.

We have the production of CNC machined heavy hex nuts and hot forged heavy hex nuts to meet your different needs. Our factory can produce 1,000 tons of nuts per month. The surface treatment of nuts are original color, black, electro galvanized, cadmium plated, hot-dip galvanized, Teflon and so on. Nuts are made of carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, super stainless steel and so on. Our heavy hex nuts are 100% assembled by heavy hex bolts or stud bolts. Our QC department will check the pass rate of nut assembly. Every nut is tested.

1. Q: What is your minimum order quantity for heavy hex nuts?
A: Our MOQ is 500Kg per size.
2.Q: May I know which payment will be accepted by your company?
A: Payment<=1000USD, 100% in advance(reduced bank charges). Payment>=1000USD, 30% T/T in advance. Pay the balance before shipment.
3.Q: Can you produce heavy hex nuts over 4 inches?
A: We can produce custom sizes, please contact our sales for more information.
4.Q: The fastener nuts used in my project need to pass 1000 hours of salt spray test requirements, do you have any suggestions?
A: We recommend PTFE coated nuts. Xylan Teflon coatings are also available on special request.
